4 months are closing in
By : ViktorSandbergみなさん、こんにちは。
久しぶりですね。さいきん私はたくさん物をした、だからこのブロッグに書きませんでした。ごめんね!
Hello everybody,
It's been a while, hasn't it. I've had tons of stuff to do lately,
so that's why I haven't written on this blog. I'm sorry!
To start this post off, i'd like to begin to say that there was almost 4 months now since I moved to Japan. 4 months since I stood at the airport in Sweden, waving off my family and my friend Victor. A big reason why i haven't had the inspiration of writing is because I felt a lot of homesickness, but luckily it seems like it's slowly getting better.Recently, also, I've had plenty of stuff to do in school. It's quite crazy how much our teacher expect us to do in this short amount of time. We have tests every week, both Kanji-tests and general Japanese grammar and word understanding tests, and it's really tough to make it. Also, they expect us to have a score of 80/100, which for me is a crazy amount. Because all of this study, I sometimes forgot what I'm doing here. I'm here because its my it's my dream to be here and to have fun.
Learning a language is really tough, I've realized it more than ever being here. But learning Japanese was tougher that I had imagined. I seriously have to reboot my brain and start thinking in a whole new way. To give it an example how different the grammar that is used in Japanese are, I'm going to write a sentence in both English and Japanese to show you:

これはお母さんがスウェーデンで作ったケーキです。
Japanese : This mother Sweden in made cake is.
English: This is the cake my mother made in Sweden.
So, you could basically say that the Japanese grammar is the exact opposite from what I'm used to. Writing, is not really that difficult, but speaking is very difficult.
To top this, our teachers have decided that we are going to have a speech in Japanese. We are only allowed to carry a paper of key words, and then, speak for 3 minute straight in Japanese. ちょうめんどくさい。
Funny thing is that, I can barley do it in Swedish, and now, being forced to do this in JAPANESE, it's just crazy.
To leave the depressing subject, I'm gonna write a little bit about what happened yesterday. It might have been one of funniest night since I got to Japan. A Swedish friend who have been in Houkaido for 5 weeks, skiing with his friends, came to visit me in Tokyo before they where going back to Sweden. We did, as we usually do when we go out here, order nomihoudai (飲み放題) which means that you pay like ¥2000 and you can drink until your heart can tent, or you pass out... After we finished eating and drinking, it was time for karaoke! When we came down to the streets, the people there were crazy. We met plenty of people and had some funny conversations. When we finally got to the karaoke, it began as usual, people singing like crazy and just making a mess. But the difference from this time, compared to the others, was that we ran around visiting other peoples karaoke rooms and sang with them. It was tons of fun! Returning home later, was a bit difficult tho... (Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos of this night.)
Well, ultimately, despite all the studies and homesickness I really love being here. I know I'm doing the right thing, and I'm not giving up!
I'm not going to say what I will write about the next time, because I have no idea when I'll find inspiration again to write. But there will of course be more posts. 約束だ!(It's a promise!)
じゃ、またね!
Ja, matane!
Until next time!
